Floating the Frio

Yea for relaxing! We are here at the Frio river at Concan, which is something I have been doing with my family since I was a kid. It is so cool to get to share this with my own family now. The experience is slightly different being that we opedt for a cabin rather than a tent, but with the little guys it was a much better idea. We will let them have that experience when they are a bit older. Yesterday we spent the day down at the river swimming and the boys searching for rocks that were good "kerplunk" rocks. They make me laugh all the time.
This morning I woke up early, way before the kids, walked down to the river and sat and had some coffee. It was so relaxing, the cool air, the flowing river, and no one down there but me........ for a while anyway. It is amazing to see what God has created, when you have time to just stop and look at it. Today I am looking forward to a nice long relaxing float on the river.

We had a good rain the other day so of course the boys thought they needed to go out and play in it. It was fun!

This morning we were doing some coloring and glueing and stuff. Blayne wanted to make a tractor, like always, so it tell him to hang on, I am looking for the construction paper. He says "we don't need the instructions.....we never need the instructions!" ahhh, spoken like a man......already.

Haven't put in any pictures in a while so welcome to some of the fun we have been having lately. This is Blayne "reading the news paper". We recently went and bought some fish to stock a tank with and the boys thought this was rather fun. Blayne wanted to hold all the fish, so we let him hold a few of the perch. He held them for a while then tossed them into the water, Because of course the real fun was in finding clods of dirt and sailing them into the water to make a big splash.

Sweet Blake ended up in the mud and wasn't sure if he liked it much. Actually he didnt like it at all.

We found some baby goats at Meme and Pop's. Blake gave them a good petting and was done. He cant stay still for ANYTHING!

Move it!

So I put Blayne to bed the other night. He said he wasn't sleepy, but it was bed time. So we did all the bedtime stuff, I covered him up, turned off the light and closed the door. About twenty minutes later I thought he was asleep, but I hear something,so i go over and stand by his door and listen...........this is what I hear "I like to move it, move it. I like to move it, move it". This came complete with a dance when I peeked in the door at him. well, it made me laugh!
